"Why are our repurposed FDNY hoses so clean? Didn't you say they were used?"
If you are wondering why our retired FDNY fire hose looks so clean, here's the reason why. After purchasing the decomissioned FDNY hoses, we start our manufacturing process by selecting fire hoses that meet our high standards in quality, thickness and overall state. Then we cut the fire hose into sections and wash them if necessary. You probably know that a FDNY spec fire hose has two layers, a inner part and a outer part. For most of our products, we use the inner side of this outer layer. We do this to make sure that only sterile parts of a hose are facing the user. We know that some of you would like to have more signs of usage on the actual hose, but currently we need to make sure our products meet all safety regulations. We are working on ways to utilize the more "used" sections into our products, that's part of our constant innovation and evaluation process. If you have any other question about our product, please contact us via the contact page on our website. We are happy to answer all questions fast and comprehensively.Your reheroed team
